The third release of Compass Box Double Single is a blended whisky made from 72% single malt, a 19-year-old Glen Elgin, and the remainder an older parcel of Girvan single grain. Nose: Sweet and fruity with notes of apple, vanilla and a hint of toffee. Palate: Rich, creamy and lightly warming with sweet vanilla notes complemented by green apple, menthol, cinnamon and hints of cereal. Superb balance between fruity and spicy flavours. Finish: Medium in length with lingering spice.
