This wine is produced only in the finest of vintages and is the product of the oldest vines (average 60 years ) of the Domaine. The vineyards consist of Oxfordian era limestone, are on very steep slopes at 230 meters altitude that afford excellent drainage and have full southern exposure. The fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled vats and barrels, the first racking is done in August following harvest and the wine is bottled 12 months after ageing.
Pale yellow, hints of golden hue. On the nose, powerful aromas, very ripe fruit, peach and pear. In the mouth, fat and weighty, but delicate, well-balanced, notes of pepper on the finish. A truly gastronomic wine.
