Hibiki 17 Year Old

The Hibiki 17 Year Old Blended Whisky is made from a combination of malt whiskies from the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries, as well as grain whisky from the Chita distillery. The whisky is then aged for a minimum of 17 years in a combination of American white oak casks, sherry casks, and Japanese Mizunara oak casks. The resulting whisky is a symphony of flavors and aromas, with notes of honey, vanilla, and oak on the nose, and flavors of dried fruit, caramel, and spice on the palate. The Mizunara oak casks in particular impart a unique flavor profile to the whisky, with hints of sandalwood, incense, and Japanese spice.

Hibiki 17 year old is one of the most recognisable bottles in Suntorys world renowned product line, it has been a staple among whisky enthusiasts for years. Fans were were shocked this year when Suntory announced that they would be discontinuing the highly acclaimed bottle. Named the best whisky in the world more than once, this whisky has won international awards again and again.
