Balthasar Ress Rüdesheim Riesling Trocken VDP Ortswein

The winery-owned vineyards of Klosterlay, Bischofsberg, and Roseneck in Rüdesheim produce fruit which are hand-harvested for this wine. The vineyards are situated on very steep, south-facing slopes along the right bank of the Rhine River sitting on red slate, quartzite and gravel.

A pale yellow color with green reflections. On the nose, intense notes of citrus fruits – lemon, lime, combined with aromas of green apple, orange blossom, mineral and wet stone notes. On the palate, fresh and vibrant acidity perfectly balances the fruit flavours of peach and apricot. At the end a long, lingering finish of distinctive minerality.
