The vineyards on which the grapes for this wine are grown are on south facing slopes of the Centgrafenberg overlooking the picturesque towns of Miltenberg and Bergstadt. Minimal intervention, gentle vinification and long barrel ageing is key to the winemaking and the quality of the finished product shows how this pays off. It’s a delicious wine that wipes the floor with lots of similarly priced Burgundy. The nose offers a big basket full of red fruits, black pepper, bitter almonds and spice. Vibrant fruit with soft, velvety tannins and subtle, complex layers of flavour.
