Situated in an area called “El Pedregal” (The Rocky Ground), it is a difficult land to work where a great quantity and variety of stones do not allow to see the ground beneath. The depth of the roots show the age of the vines; the only one in the world that gets its name from the place where it was born: D.O.Cariñena. Hand harvested, vineyard selection first & then again on the selection line. Wild yeast fermented, at 23ºC, maceration for 12 days, light pressing.
An intense cherry-red colour, aromas of ripe blackberries, red cherries and wild berries, layered with notes of Mediterranean herbs, sweet spice, balsamic nuances and a subtle earthy minerality. On the palate, vibrant, well-structured, combining generous dark and red fruit flavours with fresh acidity. Fine, supple tannins, hints of black pepper, dried herbs, crushed stone – long, broad and savoury finish.
