Colosi Grillo Terre Siciliane

The Grillo grapes for the Colosi Grillo Sicilia DOC come from vineyards in western Sicily, primarily around Marsala in the province of Trapani. Grown on calcareous (chalky) and tending toward sandy, which is excellent for drainage. These soil types allow the roots to go deep, limit vigor, and encourage concentrated flavor and mineral expression in the grapes.

Bright straw yellow with greenish highlights — fresh and luminous in the glass. Citrus notes of lemon and grapefruit, herbal nuance of thyme and subtle tropical sensations, like pineapple or hints of golden apple with floral tones. In the mouth, it has good acidity, with citrus flavours and white-fleshes fruit finishing with a salty, mineral edge reminiscent of its Mediterranean terroir.
