Schloss Reichartshausen is a monopole vineyard owned solely by Balthasar Ress since the 1970s. The 3.1 hectare vineyard sits on Alluvial soils which are free-draining very near the Rhine River, just 10 meters above sea level. The wine ferments at cool temperatures in stainless steel tanks and matures on the lees for about three months before bottling. It has a residual sugar content of 55.6 g/l and acidity of 8 g/l.
Pale gold, green-highlighted appearance. Nose is ripe apple, dried apricot, and peach compote with hints of minerally slate. In the mouth, citrus peel and stone fruit with vivid acidity balancing the medium-sweetness, giving the wine lift and structure.
