The fruit comes from a high altitude location called “El Plano Alto” (High Plain). The 30 to 50 year old vines are grown on stony soils with high sand content, harvest is done manually. Fruit is macerated on skins for 4 hours, with natural fermentation taking place in clay jars (80% in tinajas) for 10 months and the balance 20% in 500L untoasted barrels. No malolactic fermentation with lees stirring during ageing. Homogenisation in stainless steel for 3 months prior to bottling.
Pale straw in colour with golden highlights, this Garnacha Blanca opens with fragrant aromas of white blossom, citrus peel and ripe orchard fruits, underpinned by a subtle mineral freshness. The palate is beautifully textured, balancing notes of quince, apricot and lemon with vibrant acidity and a gentle saline edge.
