Velenosi Prope Montepulciano d’Abruzzo

Vineyards are located 250 metres above sea level, in the hills around Controguerra, a commune in the province of Teramo, in the region of Abruzzo. The harvest is done by hand in mid-October. After destemming the grapes, fermentation is carried out with gentle cap management for maximum extraction of polyphenols. Maceration times can exceed four weeks to obtain the best results on the colour of the final wine.

Intense, almost impenetrable ruby. Enveloping and complex with notes of morello cherry, kirsch and ripe blackberry to which are added very characteristic aromas of wet earth, coffee powder, tobacco and liquorice. Full and intense, with a strong structure thanks to rounded tannins. Juicy finish with excellent persistence.
