Schloss Domaene Gobelsburg Zweigelt

Schloss Gobelsburg is the oldest winery in the Danube valley’s Kamptal area. This winery has consistently been one of the top producers not only in Kamptal, but in all of Austria. Schloss Gobelsburg has been awarded 4 times (2009, 2010, 2011 and 2013) TOP 100 Wineries of the year by Wine & Spirits Magazine.

Aged in 50-hectoliter oak vats, the Domæne Gobelsburg Zweigelt is deep and intensely aromatic on the dense, stimulatingly fruity nose that opens to dark cherry and berry aromas with a delicate, spicy, Syrah-like touch. Juicy, round and elegant on the palate, this medium-bodied wine reveals stunning concentration and juiciness for this price level as well as elegant and refreshing mineral acidity that leads the wine to an intense and spicy finish.
