Compass Box Delilah’s XXV Blended Scotch Whisky 46% Alcohol – 700ml

This special edition celebrates the Chicago bar’s 25th year and owner Mike Miller has worked with Compass Box’s John Glaser to create a suitable follow-up to their 20th birthday bottle. Nose: A sea of spiced vanilla cream with bobbing sultanas and raisins. Orchard fruit notes of apples and pears with a dusting of nutmeg follow, along with a touch brioche. Palate: The vanilla is back, sat on top of a layer of brown sugar and spice: cinnamon and nutmeg. Milk chocolate raisins and hints of clove develop, but are held back from dominating by the creamy vanilla notes. Finish: Barley sugar and sweet spice fade to leave almonds, hazelnuts and a hint of apple.
