Chateau Jean Faux Sainte-Radegonde Rouge

Chateau Jean Faux is located in the village of Sainte Radegonde on south-west facing slopes overlooking its more well-known neighbours in Saint Emilion and Castillon. His consultant winemaker is Stéphane Derenoncourt, who has worked for prestigious Bordeaux estates such as Domaine de Chevalier, Clos Fourtet, Clos de l’Oratoire, Smith Haut Lafitte, and in California for Francis Ford Coppola’s Rubicon Estate Winery. Under the guidance of Stephane Derenoncourt since 2003, the Chateau has gone from strength to strength paying meticulous attention to detail in both vineyard and winery, using a using a more “hands on” approach. The property has been organic since 2011 and as of 2015 is certified biodynamic.  The 12 hectares of vineyards of Chateau Jean Faux are planted to 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc for the red wine. The vines are on average 25 years of age.
