En Primeur, is the French term, for the practice of buying wine in the spring following the harvest before it is bottled and released onto the market, also known as Wine Futures where the wines are normally shipped 2 or 3 years after the vintage.

En Primeur is popular for 2 reasons! First being, the price. En Primeur prices are almost always cheaper than the price of commercially released wine after it has been bottled. Second being, availability – in exceptional vintages, the demand for wine can exceed the supply which makes buying En Primeur the most certain way to securing highly sought-after wines.

We offer our customers the opportunity to participate in the Bordeaux campaign from April every year, please get in touch with us at sales@fermentedgj.com to learn more on how to get involved.
